DENR convenes national forum on oceans, coasts and islands

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources hosted a partnership and governance forum on oceans, coasts and islands yesterday at the Hotel Philippines Plaza with President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo as keynote speaker. The national forum ispart of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Strategy for the Seas of East Asia (SDS-SEA) which is a result of joint efforts by concerned countries in the East Asian region to promote sustainable development of the seas and oceans in the area.
