The ICM Specialist will be a core member of the PEMSEA Resource Facility’s (PRF) Project Implementation Group. Under the guidance of the Executive Director/Chief Technical Officer and in close cooperation with other members of PEMSEA’s Project Implementation Group, the ICM Specialist will be responsible for:
1) Planning, developing and coordinating the application of PEMSEA Services in support of implementation of the GEF/UNDP project by national and local governments and other stakeholder partners in Cambodia and Lao PDR; and
2) Providing technical advice and assistance in the planning, development and implementation of new and innovative knowledge management products and services.
Education: At least a master’s degree in Environmental Science, Coastal Area Management, Planning, governance, International Relations, or any related social science discipline.
Experience: At least five years or more development work experience, or work in a related field, preferably with field exposure. Practical experience in coastal area management is essential. Familiarity with the policies, programmes and operating styles of local and national governments that are participating in the project.
