UNDP Philippines Announces New Country Director

UNDP Philippines welcomes its new Country Director, Renaud Meyer. Prior to his posting in the Philippines, Meyer was Deputy Country Director in PR China from June 2007 and Deputy Resident Representative since August 2004.

UNDP Philippines Announces New Country Director

Meyer began his career in UNDP as a Programme Officer in Lebanon in 1998 before being assigned to UNDP Headquarters in New York in 2000 as Special Assistant to the Director of the Bureau for Development Policy.  He later worked as Special Assistant to the Associate Administrator of UNDP. 

Meyer holds a Masters degree in International Relations and Development Studies from the University of Strasbourg and graduated from the Institut D’Etudes Politiques of Strasbourg.  He also completed a one-year study program at the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University in Washington DC, USA.

He replaces Kyo Naka who previously served as Deputy Resident Representative.
