The workshop aims to:
- exchange information, experience and best practices on oil spill pollution detection, response, cleanup and restoration;
- collaborate to respond to oil spills;
- enhance capability and effectiveness of the response system;
- establish information sharing system;
- exchange oil identification models;
- share methods for assessment of environmental, economic and social impacts; and
- exchange experience in relation to the International Convention on Oil Pollution Preparedness, Response and Cooperation (OPRC_ and ASEAN Oil Spill Regional Actional Plan (ASEAN OSRAP).
The deadline for registration is on 23 January 2008.
