PEMSEA recognizes the important role of the corporate/ private sector in the protection and development of coastal and marine environment and resources. The EAS Congress 2009 is a crucial undertaking whereby support and participation of the corporate/private sector is significant. In view of this, a Networking/Sponsor’s Night for the EAS Congress will be organized and conducted in May 2008. Various corporate agencies that have environmental and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs will be invited. The event will also be open to the participation of other private sector who are interested to be part of the EAS Congress and to know more information about the role of the private sector in coastal and ocean management and the possible programs that they can be involved with.
