Attendees Participants will include DENR Regional Technical Directors, Division Chiefs of the Coastal and Marine Management Offices, DENR core TWG members, key personnel of LGA responsible for organizing ICM training courses, and representatives from the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM). A total of 47 participants are expected in the seminar workshop.

The workshop aims to build a strong core of integrated coastal management (ICM) practitioners who can effectively establish and implement an ICM program and transfer those skills through local capacity building programs.

The workshop on leadership and capacity building for the implementation of EO 533 and ICM scaling up will cover the components of the sustainable development framework, essential elements of ICM program development and implementation, and deal with practical approaches and strategies to improve implementation and management of ICM program activities.  The workshop will provide a venue for sharing of experiences, discussing implementation issues and concerns related to EO 533 and coming up with recommendations.
