Projects should address the priority areas identified in the coastal strategy and/or the SDS-SEA and may be implemented within transboundary water systems, ranging from river basins, lakes and groundwater systems to coasts and large marine ecosystems. Projects may include one or any combination of the following components:

Biodiversity Conservation		Livelihood Development
Capacity Development		Pollution Prevention from Land and Sea-based Sources
Linkaging, Networking and Advocacy		Research and Documentation

Projects could also seek to address any other site-specific components/strategies for the implementation of the SDS-SEA.
