April brings over 16 years of experience in governance support, program coordination, and multi-stakeholder engagement. She spent a significant part of her career as a Senior Economic Development Specialist at the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (formerly NEDA) in Regional Office X, where she provided end-to-end secretariat and operational support to high-level policy-making bodies, managed multi-stakeholder initiatives, and coordinated complex governance processes. She is a Licensed Environmental Planner and holds a Master of Engineering from Hiroshima University in Japan, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology from the University of the Philippines Los Baños.
