Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA)

The Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA) is Norway’s leading institute for fundamental and applied research on marine and freshwaters. Their research comprises a wide array of environmental, climatic and resource-related fields. NIVA’s world-class expertise is multidisciplinary with a broad scientific scope, combining research, monitoring, evaluation, problem-solving and advisory services at international, national and local levels.

Marine Biodiversity Institute of Korea (MABIK)

The National Marine Biodiversity Institute of Korea (MABIK) is a legal entity established by the government of RO Korea for the purpose of research, education and exhibition in the field of marine bio-resources. MABIK recognizes marine bio-resources as national assets and conducts marine biodiversity-related research using government funds to support priority issues such as the conservation of marine biodiversity, restoration and multiplication of endangered species through genetic technologies, search and rescue of marine animals and management of invasive species.

IPIECA

IPIECA is the global oil and gas industry association for environmental and social issues. IPIECA was formed in 1974 following the launch of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). IPIECA is the only global association involving both the upstream and downstream oil and gas industry on environmental and social issues. IPIECA’s membership covers over half of the world’s oil production. IPIECA is the industry’s principal channel of communication with the United Nations.
