KORDI signs MOU with KISTI

Seoul, RO Korea — On September 26th, the Korea Ocean Research & Development Institute signed an MOU with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information on the joint use of science and technology information. The signing took place at the Seoul branch of KISTI.
Based on this MOU, the two institutes will share research and information on ocean science and other areas. In particular, various information contents including research papers, articles, patents and trend information supplied by KISTI’s NTIS (National Technical Information Service) and NDSL (National Discovery for Science Leaders) will now be provided through the portal of the library of KORDI, expanding the use of science and technology information.
The major areas of agreement covered
the communal use of knowledge, information resources and technology
joint cooperation in enlarging the knowledge information resource base
DB construction and project cooperation
Mutual cooperation for the construction of an ocean science data center.
Director Han, Jong Yeob of KORDI’s Ocean Science Library remarked that “sharing information with KISTI may enrich research information contents. In the future, we will strengthen our role as a national ocean science library by continually providing diverse and useful resources."
