Dr. Rasio Ridho Sani  currently serves as  Senior Adviser  to the Minister  after he retired as the Deputy for Pollution and Environmental Damage Control in the Ministry of Environment. He is one of Indonesia's foremost leaders in environmental law enforcement having been the Director General of Environmental and Forestry Law Enforcement at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry from 2015 to 2025. Throughout his decade-long tenure as Director General, he spearheaded major structural reforms that enhanced transparency, accountability, and inter-agency collaboration in combating environmental crimes.

His extensive work in environmental enforcement has earned significant global recognition, including multiple UNEP Asia Environmental Enforcement Awards spanning the Collaboration, Innovation, Integrity, and Gender Leadership categories from 2019 to 2025. Dr. Sani's career is deeply rooted in international environmental governance, having served as an Executive Board Member of INTERPOL's Forestry Crime Working Group (2018–2023), Vice Chairman of the UNEP Basel Convention Compliance Committee for Asia-Pacific (2007–2012), and Executive Board Member of the SAICM Quick Start Program for Asia-Pacific (2012–2015).

His  professional career is supported by degrees spanning public management, finance, law, and chemistry. He holds a Ph.D. in Administrative Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Indonesia, a Master of Public Management from the University of Potsdam in Germany, a Master of Commerce in Finance and Economics from the University of Sydney in Australia, and a Bachelor of Law from Universitas Terbuka.
